Problem solved! It got wired into the fuse box under the back seat. Works like a charm, but apparently it's a REALLY early version, cause there is no fan turn on settings.

Pretty sure it's just the newest version that has the "Bi-modal controls" with the fan turn-on's and the fuel trims.

i agree with the fuse box idea. just run a piece of new wire from fuse box to the end of the red guage cable. no splicing into anything except "ur newly intalled cable."
