In dash DVD player

This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Ive got the pioneer avh5700 in my car, nothing crazy to wire up, Its just like a cd player, other than you have to ground out a negative wire in order to watch movies when your driving (not that would do that :roll)

The problem is some of the units block out the ability to read DVDs if you don't bypass it, so if you have a DVD full of MP3s, you have to do the above bypass to get it to work. Most, though, just block out video playback so if you have rear screens, they will still play.

Sounds great, but one big problem no detachable face plate. Kinda worries me about theft. Anything else I should know? Did you acctually buy it from them?

You can get single DIN dvd players that have a 3.5 inch screen. I got an JVC KDNX5000, dvd/cd, navigation, 40 gig hard drive. Got it for 200 bucks. I also have an Ultimate dvd unit. its a cheapo, but its been working well since I got it given to me. I will never go back to a non-video deck. Its just too sweet.
