Would a low pressure switch keep the compressor from working on a 05 Bonneville; and where is it and how hard to change? Any help would great!

A defective low pressure switch could prevent the A/C compressor from engaging. Low pressure switches are very rare. It should be on the accumulator on the firewall.

Why do you suspect it has failed?

The compressor/clutch does not lock up when the ac is turned on, and it has plenty of freon. I figure it cant hurt to try the switch before I go to the junk yard for a compressor. Thanks for your help!
