What, if any, maintenance have you done? I would first look at plugs, wires, fuel filter and O2 sensor. If that doesn't help, then we can dig in from there. Is the Service Engine Soon light on?

This will likely get moved, this is the wrong section.

Sounds like a bad catalytic converter to me...

Mine did the same thing - spit, sputter, shake, then... bang. A cloud of smoke and she was down the road. A new catholic (catalytic) converter solved it.

Ok so new plugs,02 sensor, new converter, motor mount, & oil pan gasket. Now its running like a charm but the service light is still on & is there any solution 2 hooking up subs the proper way via line out converter/signal processor or what not

Some questions. Did you replace the plug wires with quality wires? Do you have the factory manual - 3 vol. set? I have a set for 2005 and could use the check lists to see what they advise, if you have not already done this.

Have you had the codes cleared out and they come back, or is it just old codes hanging in there pestering you?

If they are New codes please post and we can direct you in the direction you neeed to head in. Most auto parts stores can clear these for you at no cost or a basic code reader that you can purchase can clear as well.
