This is all just preliminary, to get everyone talking, just seemed like every other region has something going on so I thought what the heck!!! Even if it comes to a mini-meet....

I know for the local w-body guys, I put together meets at Herrick Lake in Wheaton 2-3 times a year (we have 1 or 2 more meets at Fuddrucker's in Downers Grove during the not so good weather months). Beautiful scenery, plenty of parking, and of course, we get to cook out. Everyone contributes something for the meet (chips, hot dogs, paper plates, cups, etc). Always works out well. Perhaps an idea for the Bonneville meets, as well.

The dates I picked were based on Byron Dragway Test and Tune days. I was thinking Mod Day on a Sat and hit the track on a Sunday. We could do the Club Day thing again and hopefully have more than 10 people race(Byron kinda got upset with us(well, me :sad5: ) last year because we only had like 7 or 8 race and that aparently didnt pay for the free trophys we got for the bracket race.) But if no one wants to drag then other weekends will work fine for me, except Sept 5, 6, 7.

September is better than October if your racing at Byron. The weather can be too unpredictable in October around here. Either weekend in September is my vote.

I'm in for an October meet.

Are we doing almost the same as last year?

I'll try to be more prepared this time around.....

I remember last year I forgot the most basics of stuff. (blankets, pillow) It was my first meet though..... But this time I want to take my car to the strip instead of having her watch from the sides :( .

Gotta make sure shes good though!

Im definitely down for a MWBF08. Proffered date: the earlier the better. Best we have it when the weather is still nice and warm.

I intend to bring the 96, but im not ready to race her yet. Not at least until I set aside money for a "transmission fund", I cant risk *shoot* like that at this point in time when moneys tight.

I'm down. Had a good time last year. Don't know if i would want to race the car but I would definitely be down for beers and some wrench turning like last time.
