2002 Buick Regal

Talk about the other 3800 powered GM cars, particularly for items not covered in other sections that may be unique to your year/model, and differ from a Bonneville.

2002 Buick Regal

Post by deano55 »

My wife and I just purchased a super clean 02 Regal LS last week. We took the train down to Memphis from Chicago and drove it back home to Morris, Il. where we live. The car has 34,800 something miles now. My concern is the lower intake manifold gasket that has been talked so much about here. Could I change out the "Death Cool" now or do I have to change out the gaskets? Would the gasket be deteriating at this milage or is it the time spent in the engine which is 10 years?

Dex-Cool's effects get worse with age and sitting. I would replace the LIM gaskets and Upper Plenum and have the coolant flushed now.
