2001 Bonneville SLE BCM issues ?? No power windows/locks

Hi every one.

This is my first post , seems like a great forum !

I have a 2001 Bonneville SLE , love the car . it has 225000 Kms on it and is still running like a champ!

I have done a few things, intake manifold gasket, wheel bearings , the normal stuff.

Today I put in a new Radiator and was about to drive home and the windows would not go up (all of them ) , I had them down to listen to a few tunes . Also noticed that the power door locks were not working , the lights behind the switches were out as well and the remote would only open the trunk. So I thought to reboot the car , (disconnect the battery for 15 minutes) that did nothing .

I have a funny feeling that the the main BCM crapped out . Tested all the fuses they were fine. I pulled the drivers door switches and checked for power there was nothing.

I put power into the switch with a wire and lifted all the windows from the drivers door , so I could get home ,

Any ideas ?? Am I on the right track ? There are lots of BCMs on ebay for my car .

Also like to post that the radio does not turn off with the door opening . It has to time out , takes about ten minutes after I leave the car .

Must be all connected to the same problem

Your first misconception is that there is a BCM. There are 3 modules that do the BCM functions, the IPM (Instrument Panel Module), the DDM (Driver's Door Module) (IIRC) and RIM (Rear Integration Module). There isn't one 'Body Control Module'. However, I'm not really sure where to start with this one...

Did you ever resolve the windows and locks issue? I am now having the same issues and am not sure where to start. Side mirrors, all Windows, and all locks stopped working. Only trunk works with the key fob.
