Amber Fog Lights
I'd like to try making my standard (OEM housings) driving lights - fog lights and was wondering:
1) should i use lamin-x amber film to cover the clear lens
or
2) buy amber (yellow) bulbs, if this option, any bulb suggestions?
I haven't found a decent pair of round fog lights that fit the SSE opening in my quest.
What do you guys think?

Re: Amber Fog Lights
Lamin-X would definitely be easier, a member on here did it to his 03 SLE.

Re: Amber Fog Lights
I just installed yellow bulbs in mine, little cheapies from Ebay. Works fine for me.

Re: Amber Fog Lights
Either will work just fine, considering you're only changing the location of where the tint is applied. Do you want your fogs to look yellow all the time, or just when they are lit? That should be the deciding factor for you.
I prefer Phillips for just about every halogen (and HID as well) application. Sylvania is good too, as long as they're not Silverstar Ultras, which wouldn't be yellow anyway.

Re: Amber Fog Lights
Here's some better pictures of my fogs. Excuse the tape. lol

And an in the dark shot, although they are a lot more yellow in reality. My camera isn't the best.

It took 15 minutes with the Lamin-x. Plus I like the yellow look all the time. It's unique.

Re: Amber Fog Lights
I run 3000k hid in my projector fogs and they're green when they're cold, so I got pulled over. Cop says they're green, I say "look again". Yellow. He says I can't have yellow foglights. I suggest he site me for it. Lol.

Re: Amber Fog Lights
I went a head and ordered a sheet of yellow lamin-x. I've got and extra set of driving lights so I'll be able to switch between the two if I get tired of them. I kinda like the yellow lens with the silver car.

Thanks very much! It'll take half an hour at most to install. And Lamin-x sticks really well if you do it right. I love it.

Should look good with your new black bumper cover too.
