Blower motor issues

Post by 99bonnie »

Hi guys. Need a little help here. My blower motor in Bonnie has been staying on when the car is turned off. This is forcing me too pull the main fuse to keep her from dieing. Resulting from frequently pulling the fuse I think has blown the blower motor completely. I am replacing the blower motor but would like to kno if it cud possibly be a resistor or something that is not allowing the motor to turn off. Any help is awsome thanks guys. It's cold up here in Canada aha need heat!!

If it has ECC I would check/replace the blower module.

Yeah it's the blower control module. Replace it before you replace the fan...i think your fan still might be fine. The instructions for removing the blower control module are in this evap cleaning techinfo:

I've burned out two junkyard blower control modules. If i were you, i'd spend the $100 for a new one. When my current one blows again, i'll be buying a new one like i should have years ago. I suspect my blower motor needs replaced too since it burns these things up every two or three years.
