I had a my 1993 fall into recess at a gas station in Mankato once. Their metal plate wasn't seated correctly, and when I backed up and the front tire rolled over it, the diamond plate kicked up, and the car fell in. However, i landed on the front bumper, and got comped by their insurance for body work.
The pinch weld appears to have landed on something perfectly round. Did it buck the car up, and land ontop of the manhole cover?
