Just drove with MAF sensor unplugged; am trying to diagnose a problem.
No trouble lights or messages appeared. Shouldn't it throw a code when you unplug the MAF?

Might have thrown a history code. Sometimes it takes more than one self-check for it to sense it being disconnected.
Bye Bye:

second that.
Could hook a scan tool up while the MAF is disconnected and see what it says.... But I am surprised that it's not getting any MAF data and is not tripping a light....

Re: Should Check Engine light come on when unplug MAF sensor
Went to Advance Auto and had them scan for OBDII and ABS codes, only history code found was B1287 "Steering Sensor Excessive Rate / Wiper Offset Malfunction" which I take to mean I need a new SWPS. (My "Service Stability System" light comes on every now and then, and then goes back off.)
Anybody willing to unplug their MAF sensor and see if a light appears on their car? I'm wondering if this is indicative of a larger electrical problem, or just a perfectly normal situation.
