oil pressure loss

Post by lackawanna1701 »

I found an oil leak comming from a sensor above the transmission knuckle and oil filter... Is this attached to the oilpan? Why would something like this fail?

Thats your oil pressure sensor/sender. If it is cracked or damaged be careful when removing it so that you don't crack it off in the oil filter adapter. This wouldn't be the end of the world just another step that you don't necessarily want to have to take. :banghead:

Just replace it with an AC Delco unit as they seem to work best for our cars.
