Code P0446 and P1441

Post by MorePower »

Wifes calls me from side of road, said engine light on. I explain how to plug in scanner-code reader
Tells me Code P0446 and P1441
Evap Vent Solenoid Valve Control System P0440
Heater Control Circuit Bank 1-Sensor 2 P1141

ok.....now what do I do to correct, repair or diagnose the system?
Prior to this no codes, engine lights etc

Are the two codes correlated? or just coincidence they both went off....

as of recent(past month), trans has been rebuilt, new harmonic balancer, complete tune up, lower intake gasket and upper plenum....car ran fine with no codes after all the work done...but today engine light one...

I first searched on here for these codes and everyone had different repair remedies for the codes
After sinking $2000 into the car this month.I am piss pot broke...

recommendations?suggestions?

thank you in advance :)

Check for vacuum leaks and proper electrical connection at the EVAP vent solenoid (bolted to the lower intake manifold).

The heater in your REAR O2 sensor has failed.

Neither of these problems should affect driveability.

couldnt find any vaccum leaks, cant find the evap solenoid under the hood as mentioned above, no real rust on fuel filler neck but sanded it and siliconed fuel cap anyway. She drove it home, ran fine and light didnt come one so maybe it was a fluke?

Do you still have the codes you were getting before?

You gotta figure 14 yr. old rubber will give out eventually. There really isn't that many rubber lines in the engine bay for the EVAP system. I would just replace them all to avoid any further annoyances.

Are asking about my sig. picture? I've got lots of engine bay pictures, what are you looking for?

the pic that says all cleaned up....your sig pic on right. Like to see it blown up. I am questioning whether the two vaccum lines going to the evap are on correctly, perhaps whent he guy did the plenum he reversed them?
No codes, runability....fine now...
