Occasionally, my car will start right up, but immediately shut off. Basically, It won't idle. If I crank it up and rev it up a few times, it runs fine. It doesn't do it all the time, but it's becoming more frequent. Thought I would ask you experts what it might be so I can fix it before it becomes a bigger problem.
Thanks in advance for your help,
2001 SSEi starts but immediately shuts off.

When was the last time you cleaned the throttle body? If there's carbon built up in the IAC bore it can affect the idle. Clean the TB. Have you seen my maintenance list? Make sure it's all up to date.

Do you have any stored codes or a service engine light?

mine was doing something similar try unpluging the MAF sensor, then try starting the vehical, if it starts then you need a MAF sensor.
thats what mine was. if so get one or two from a junk yard. Buy One Get One or something
They are way cheaper at the yard than the auto parts store.

2000 Bonnie SSEi, New FR lower control arm, FR out tie rod end, Rear struts, Rear upper alignment arms (for confused names for these things), New tires, battery, mid-pipe, catylitic converter, and a freshly rebuilt top end. ALL ADDS UP TO MONEY>>
