Also, the badges only say SS or LT. You have to look at the RPO codes or the window sticker to see anything that says 2SS or 1LT.

All LT = V6
All SS = V8

RS is an appearance pkg.

I didn't think the LT had any LT badges?

Yeah I'm pretty sure I've never seen one with an LT badge. I think they only have badges if it has the RS package or it's an SS.

Sweet. My first car was a '77 Camaro. 3.5 v8, same Bumblebee scheme as yours. (I don't think the Air force had HUD's yet!) I love my '96 and have trouble deciding which of my two current drivers is preferred. Both very different and strong where the other is weak. Best of luck (don't need luck with a ride like THAT!) And fear not, a Camaro in those colors won't attract too much attention from "the man". (sherrrr) - Have fun and keep your eyes open for Smokey's. I think my link below has photos of my '77 lower on the page if you care to see.

Gorgeous car! Too bad it can't get nominated for COTM, or does it have a 3800 in it?? lol As for the insurance, when I moved back to Texas from Indiana in '70, one year of car insurance premiums wouldn't even by a months worth in Texas. Can you say "sticker shock!" - BC

Having now put 300 miles on it, i was about to say the same thing!

Power and handling: Camaro
Seats and ride: Bonneville
Brakes: Camaro
Dash: Bonneville
Looks: Camaro
Ease of ownership: Bonneville

The list goes on. They make a great pair. One other thing that surprised me is that the Camaro has a longer wheelbase than the bonne, but turns a lot shorter.

Found the first problem from the factory: the negative battery terminal was sitting loose on the post, and it wouldn't tighten up any further. I had to dremel out the area between the halves to get it to tighten up. Whatever happened to side terminal batteries? They're far superior to this crap in my opinion.

Tightened up as far as possible here, and it still slid on and off the post.

I'd go get a better top-post mount with a wing-nut.

Top-posts allow more electron flow and don't strip out. They are much better IMO. Side post aren't bad, just have some down-falls.

Farm boys don't think like that Jake. The dealer would've installed the same worthless clamp. We can fix it and make it better.

Right, but now, if theres another sort of battery issue later, they can be like 'Oh well you modified this clamp....warranty voided.' I know how dealers think

Longitudinally mounted engines in RWD cars allow for more steering angle :)
