Go to the wrecker and find the right color of mirror and replace it, or go to www.car-part.com to find it.

Buff/polish out the rub marks.

Or claim it on your insurance.

Depends how nice you want your car to look.

You can just use some drywall screws and screw it back onto the door.

However, to do it right, you need to get a replacement mirror and swap them. This will involve removing the door panel to access the nuts.

The bracket is broken, do it right and replace the mirror with bracket, it's not that hard

Getting in behind the window mechanism to undo those bolts and swap the mirror is a major job. A friend of my dad's, who is an experienced mechanic, did it to my car this weekend and it took him over two hours. I'm glad his labor rate is fairly low.

Seriously? I did mine and I am not an auto mechanic. This was not a hard job for me.

This has happened to me twice in one month but the job is fairly easy just take the panel off and just take the nuts off the original side view mirror and put them on the new one mirror gonna be a pain putting the nuts on if you have big hands.using a magnet also helps with this . also be careful when taking off the door panel control the clips are delicate.
