Sigh. Truly makes me miss my 1992 Buick Roadmaster. These are great cars, congratulations on the awesome find.

I've seen quite a few of the Impalas run into the mid 14s box stock with an experienced driver. Don't forget, the TV shows seem to use very conservative testing methods...release the brake and stomp it from an idle, rather than an actual launch.
