Rear speakers

Rear speakers

Post by jrobb57 »

I recently replaced my radio (old radio was aftermarket) with a newer JVC which sounds great. Only problem is my rear speakers don't work. I switched back to the old radio with same results. Any Ideas?

Yes! They did work. I'd be really suprised if the speakers were blown because there is absolutely no sound. Not even white noise. And the power was off when I changed units.

Blown speakers will ususally still make noise, unless the VC was so damaged it can't move, or there's a break in the current flow through them.

I'd venture you popped a wire out of the harness seeing as that's what you were messing with!

yes a blown speaker would make some noise and the chances of two speaker blowning at same time and nither will make a noise . ya sounds like they just never got hooked up . Recheck the wiring .

i take it there factory speakers ? any one messed with wires hanging from under the trunck deck ? maybe a big pieace of luggage ripped it out of the speakers ? look there first make sure you see the wires going to the speaker in the truck.
