My new to me 01 SSEi

Here are some pictures of my new to me 01 SSEi. I have owned her for a week now and trying to keep her clean with all the snow melting and then freezing and raining has been a pain. But none the less had to take a few even of shes a lil dirty. There are a few pics the day I took her home and the rest from today. In the week Ive done tinted tails cleared corners 180 drilled t-stat and fixed drivers heated seat (still have pass to do) but have alot more to come

Have a few thing that I need to get done asap. Have to remove the "wood trim" and get some GXP accents, and get a new radio.

I've never seen radio buttons so worn out before, heck I hardly touch mine with the stearing wheel button controls.

When I first saw the radio I said the same thing. I always use my steering wheel controls too.

The badges Im not to sure of I know they are different from my 92 Ei

I have seen some bad buttons, but never any that bad, lol. I can see why you want a new HU.

Yea I figured if I were goning to get a new stock radio for 50 to 75 dollar rage might as well put that towards new in dash nav/cd/dvd unit and all the adapters.

Well it looks well broken in. Those radio control buttons are impressively worn.

Rip that engine cover off, flush all the fluids......and go with a FWI.

The blacked out tail lights look good.

I plan on getting my FWI asap. But for now in the up coming week doing a full tune up.

So I went to the junkyard just hoping to see if I could found some small things I needed. It was pouring rain out but I was bored and really wanted to go. So I was walking around looking at all the cars with no luck and was just about leave and boom there was 00 SSEi sitting right next to me talk about being blind. I was happy to see that the stock radio was sitting on the seat just waiting for me so I got all new radio buttons

Yea just swapped them out was pretty easy. It looks so much better at night Im very happy with it. Gonna make anther trip to the junk yard just to poke around and hopefully get lucky again. I also cleaned the crap out of the cup holders they look a lot better as well, I will get some better pictures up once I can keep her clean and to show any more progress.
