I live in Iowa and I would like to know if there are any laws that say you have to have amber reflectors on the ends of your vehicle...
Also..
I know it's possible to do the front but what about the back?

What's the second best place (besides EBay) to look for CC's..

Re: Clear Corner Laws
Only place I have seen for the clear corners is custom (removing the amber part yourself) or from eBay, at least for the '92-'95 CCs. I can't say I paid attention or recall seeing anything anywhere else for the '96+.
As far as the laws go you either have to have an amber bulb or amber lenses. Newer cars seem to be more frequently having clear lenses and amber lights. As long as something is amber/yellow.
I'm sure the rear is possible. I assume you'd just need to pop open the light housing and remove the amber lens. I don't know of anyone having done that on a '96-'99 and its unlikely anybody sells that either.
[edit] - After a little bit of searching i didn't find much about clear corner laws. Some states allow the signal to blink amber or white. But I'd make sure if you clear the lenses to get amber bulbs.

Re: Clear Corner Laws
I know someone on here tinted the amber part on the rears red instead of clearing them and it came out sweet. you could also just tint the tails black.

Re: Clear Corner Laws
You need to have amber ones otherwise you'll get pulled over. Just use the link i sent you awhile back to get the clear corners. I've never seen CC's anywhere else so just use ebay. Seems like it would cost more for auto toyz to clear them then to just buy new ones(if you can even clear the stock)razr89a wrote:I live in Iowa and I would like to know if there are any laws that say you have to have amber reflectors on the ends of your vehicle...

Yep (see sig pic), and I'm still trying to figure out how I want to adjust the red sheet vinyl adhesive to be a tad darker red... Overall it looks great from about 5 feet but any closer and you can see a hint of a few tiny creases. It's all in how well you can apply it - the amber part of our tails have some relatively complicated curves. I've got another set of tails to play with and was thinking about spraying on some translucent red instead. Vinyl is 5 bucks and easily removable though too.92BonneSE wrote:dilccRoadtech195 wrote:I know someone on here tinted the amber part on the rears red instead of clearing them and it came out sweet. you could also just tint the tails black.
