S/C pulley replacement?
Is it possible to replace just the pulley on the supercharger on my 94 SSEi? I haven't noticed any other rattles, clank, clunks, or anything but a squeaking from one of the pulleys (I hope) until the car runs for a little, then it disappears. I have replaced the tensioner pulley, but the whole assembly needs to be replaced as well. Any help would be appreciated, thanx.

The SC pulley itself will not squeal. Does it sqeal all the time or just when under a load, for example when turning? You can remove the belt and feel each pulley to see if they all spin feely.

Not really a squeal, but a squeak-squeak-squeak, until it's warmed up. then you can't hear it any more.

Sounds more like a bad belt. Unless the pulley bas been hit by something and bent, it should not need replacement. Remove the belt and feel for play, grinding and excessive noise while spinning the s/c pulley, as well as all the other pulleys.

Re: S/C pulley replacement?
Please check the level of oil in the supercharger nosedrive. Report that back here.
Then use a tiny blast of WD-40 on each potential squeak point until it goes away, with the last blast being on the back of the belt (flat side, not grooved, if no change, then some on the grooved side).
WD-40 is not a lubricant for very long. It's a water-displacing solvent (hence the WD in the name), and will dissipate quickly, making it safe to use on your belts for this test.

I will try that WD-40 trick. I will let you know what happens. Is there already a thread that explains how to check the supercharger oil? Just noticed today that the boost needle flutters about a 1/4 inch when I'm stopped. Is that normal?

That has nothing to do with your oil, and is probably indicating you have a vacuum leak.
On the nosedrive of the supercharger you'll see a small hex plug (black). Remove it. The oil should be up to the threads. Use ONLY GM Supercharger oil or equivalent from ZZP or INTENSE. The Series 1 capacity is 1 bottle of GM oil or half a bottle of INTENSE oil.
Click the red link in my signature for more information about superchargers. You'll see where the plug is.
