The fuel guage in my '03 SLE doesn't seem to be working right anymore. It works when it is full down to about half-tank then it just stays at the full mark. DO I need to replace the sending unit in the tank?? If so can I do just the sending unit or should I replace the pump too? The car has about 140,000 miles on it. I've done pumps in GM trucks a couple times and it can be hard to remove the pump from the sending unit without breaking the clips.
Any advice is appreciated.

Re: Fuel guage not working
Provided the gauge does its sweep at start up, the sender is bad. The nice part of the 00+ Bonnevilles is that there is an access panel in the trunk to get at the pump. There are a couple of videos made by member Hans on here that detail the process. Search those. All you have to replace is the wiper rheostat thing, as demonstrated in the vids.

Awesome. Thanks I'll search for the vids.
