How is Camber Adjusted on the Front of Our Cars?
It appears the bolt holes for the top strut mount are not elongated. I did a search and could not find any details on how to adjust camber, other than a mention of elongating the bolt holes. Seems kind of radical - is that the only way?

Are you gonna do a DIY alignment? Why are you concerned w/ camber?
Bye Bye:

Tire wear. Since I've owned the car, the outside front tires are wearing out way before the inside. I don't think there is anything wrong with the car - if grandma was driving it I bet the tires would wear evenly, but I often take corners aggressively.00Beast wrote:Why are you concerned w/ camber?

Mine wear like this as well. Might be different with a new alignment. We will see on this next set.

Re: How is Camber Adjusted on the Front of Our Cars?
This time around I ended up getting tires that can be run with either side on the outside of the car, so that should allow me to mitigate the problem of uneven tire wear. But I think that adding 1/2 to 1 degree of negative camber ought to further extend tire life, and help the handling as well.
I have been doing my own alignments since around 1998. Not because I want to, but because amazingly that was the only way I could get it done right. Heck I had 2 alignments done on my Tbird to fix a tire wear problem that I reported both times. Then after the problem continued, I found that there were factory rivets in place on the strut towers. They had never adjusted the camber! So I was paying $50 for them to put the car up on a fancy alignment rack and set the toe. Great. Also I found at the time they just wanted to set it to factory spec, regardless of any special request on your part.
I've not touched one of these 2000+ Bonnies though. Apparently, very little is known about what is adjustable or how. I'm going to do some homework before I dive into it, or even let a shop touch it (unlikely).

Thanks. I also noticed that there are bolts available to adjust camber as well:
