Simple multimeter question

Post by DbqJoe »

Ok, forgive my ignorance but I need to retest my ignition coils. I'm following the guide posted here: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=1683

I can test the secondaries easy enough, but the probes on my $20 Actron I got from AAP will not fit in the primary sockets. So my question is what do I need to test them? What is he using in the pics posted in that guide? I've tried searching on google but its fruitless. You'd think Radioshack would have something but I cant find anything useful on their site either. I suppose I would like to know what Im supposed to call it. Is it some sort of extension or adapter? Im having trouble searching since I dont know what term Im supposed to use. Is there a specific name for probes that are designed to fit in narrow spaces?

Use short pieces of wire or paper clips to get in there.

:stupid:
I used some wires with ground down spade connectors that fit in the slots.
