need help...sick of searching. lights and air box question
hey im kind of new here and have seen a few wicked mods on this sight. i thought i saw a 2000-2003 bonney with the center of the trunk part lit up.how to make that into a working tail light? also i want to clear out my corners and was hoping for a quick link. and i got a k&n air filter for the stock air box and heard of a way to gut the box. any help with that. thanks for the help in advance and thanks for sucha great site. also im going to be in the chicago area this winter and was wondering how my 03 bonny might fare in the snow???

gutting the air box is easy, just pull it out and dremel out the wall in the middle of the box. Clearing the head lights is easy to. Removing the head light is dangerous. Remove both bolts, keep bulbs in the assembly, pull hard but brace yourself and be ready for the light to let go. There is a stupid connector in the front wheel well that holds the light in. (because 2 bolts weren't enough).
Remove the clips that hold the clear part to the rest of the housing. If the black silicone is still soft, slowly and very carefully pry the clear part away. Then remove the orange reflector. Oh and buy the purpley blue silverstar bulbs that glow amber. Because if you put standard amber bulbs in. It will look like you didn't remove the reflector.

FWI, converted low beam bulbs into high beam bulbs, 20% tint all around, MSD wires, NDK TR55 plugs, auxiliary line in, scan gauge, custom FloPro/MagnaFlow Cat back exhaust

can you clear the amber out of the tail lights too and what about the amber in the center trunk section.. must be nice for the gxp guys, lucky ducks.

I'm from Chicago, and you'll have no major trouble with the Bonnie here. The city does a great job of keeping the roads clear and even if you stray into the occasional snowy side street, you'll be fine.
