Your choice. It all depends on how often you want to change it, otherwise there is no advantage really one way or another. Regular change intervals are far more important than the type of oil, as long as you go with the viscosity rating on the oil cap.
There is typically no reason to use a 'high mileage' oil in our cars. Tolerances are very tight throughout the life of the engine, particularly in the rings.

Just be sure to use a good filter. Do not under any circumstances use Fram filters, period. Not even the Tough Gard, etc. They're all *shoot*. NAPA Gold, Mobil 1, Wix, AC Delco, Purolator Pure One, etc. are all good filters.

Switch if you want better cold weather flow and a longer oil change interval.

Yeah, avoid those. I was looking at a display of cut up filters on Wednesday. Comparing a Fram to a Mobil 1 is like comparing tissue paper to a shop rag.

I can't speak of the "best" because I have no way of scientifically testing that, but I have had good luck with Pennzoil Platinum oil and Purolator PureOne filters. You will need 5 quart bottles, but only add about 4.5 quarts.

The brand and type of oil don't matter. There really is no 'best' as long as you follow the suggested change interval. A motor with 3-4000 mile conventional oil changes will run just as well as one with 5-10000 mile synthetic changes.
The filter is the bigger factor.

I have been running the Castrol GTX 10w-30 along with AC Delco filters. Oil gets changed every 3k miles. It was due back in February though, but I haven't hit the mileage figure yet. However, the oil comes out fine every time. Prolly gonna change it soon.

If you go with purolator , get (PN) PL10111, or if you want a little larger filter that still fits get (pn) PL24011.For the money I don't think you can get a better filter.

Re: wat type of oil to use for an 93 ssei
Just change the oil regularly every 6-7.5k miles on synthetic with anything but a Fram or bargain-basement Chinese filter. Make sure to check the level every few weeks after ~4k miles.
FWIW, the SuperTech ST3387A and the Delco PF47 are the same filter with a different paint job. They're both Champion Labs made filters that are identical aside from the paint. Check out the shelves in Wal-Mart to verify this.
