Around here the 50 y/o + crowd thinks that the old muscle cars are faster than every new car on the road. My old boss thinks his old 72 Cutlass could take my G8 with its 455 without trying. Looked up the stats and it runs 13.9@101. Hmmmm.... Anyways, not dissing your car 2000Silverbullet, as I would love to have a classic. IMO, there is no new car better looking than a classic muscle car. However, just goes to show how amazing modern tech is seeing how a mildly modded V6 can trap the same as a built 6.6L. Not to mention my measly 6.0L with restricted exhaust manifolds and pu$$y stock cam that traps 106 on a hot day.

Gotta remember that Paul's car was running on the tiny primaries on the Q-jet only.
Bye Bye:

Well if that wasn't a dis ! [-(

:laughing3:
Stats don't mean squat. The stats for my car calls for a 16 sec at 88 mph. I bet your old boss's 455 wasn't exactly stock.
My engine is by no means built with only a cam and headers.
I never thought for a moment that it was as quick as a newer 6L V8, in fact I know my SSEi is quicker in the 1/8th. I had estimated a 13.9 at around 100 mph and that's what it did  .........but only on the primary barrels. :bluetwitch: The much larger secondaries were locked closed due to a choke malfunction. When it hit 90 after the 1/8th, it would stutter like it hit a rev limiter.
I know now that it would have trapped at around 110 mph.
If this was truly a "built" engine it would turn low 12's.

But I'll tell you one thing for sure, this Bird drives and handles a LOT differently than my SSEi even if isn't any faster.

Just goes to prove that there is no replacement for displacement.......except Boosted displacement! :beerchug:
