Programming My 90 SSE Remotes

Post by limabee »

I'm looking for advice in programming my 90 SSE remotes. I picked up a new (used) one and I have 2 old ones that don't seem to work. Can anyone tell me the procedure for programming the 90 remotes?

Thanks

Open the glove box, push the tabs so that it drops down... Look on the left rear corner of the glove box... You will see a connector that is not connected to anything... This will be the Keyless entry Program connector.. You will bridge the pins in the connector together... Once you do that if the system is still functional, the locks will cycle and the trunk will pop, at this point you push any button on the remote, the system should cycle the locks again once the remote has been learned, then hit a button on the second remote, the again will cycle once the remote has been learned, once complete unbridge the pins in the connector and you are set the remotes should now work..

Big greetings from the UK!!! :)

Yes, this fix worked on my '90 SSE. First time I used it, I pressed the 'Lock' button as the chosen one. But afterwards found the boot release didn't work.

So I did it again this time using the boot release button once the locks had cycled by themselves, and hey presto! The boot and doors now all work perfectly!!

Thank you very much for this valuable info JRS!!
You laugh because I'm different. I laugh because you're all the same. :oD
