94 OLDS Silhouette 3800 AC Compressor clutch relay fuse??

Post by GM Collector »

Anybody know where the AC compressor clutch relay fuse is? I know the relay is on the radiator support. I found a wiring diagram and it says the fuse is in the "convenience center". Where that is boggles me. I checked the fuse box, not there. I brought it to a GM dealer had the parts guy and an older tech scratching their heads. I just blew $400 on new AC components and a hidden $1 fuse is stopping me from cold air. I need to know where this fuse is before I kill somebody.

My cruise also isn't working. After studying wire diagrams I know that the A/C Comp Clutch and Cruise use the same 15a fuse in the "Convenience center". I need the location of this convenience center.

Sorry mods I know I posted this in the wrong section..

Open the Glove Box, look to the left, pull the little cover and you will see the fuses in the convenience center...

Wait... Hmmmmmm.... At the moment I do not have my Van...

You need to look at Fuse marked " IGN " This is the Convenience Center Fuse that powers the AC Relay

That fuse is not blown. I even put another 15a fuse in to see if it was good or not. Still nothing.

Could it be the relay? But that doesnt make any sense either. Because I don't think the AC relay would cause my cruise to not work...

If you have a scan tool you need to see if the PCM is seeing the request from the HVAC Head... But being that the cruise does not work doesn't make a lot of sense either...
