I have a 1995 Bonneville SE
3800 series II
I have been told there are a few differences with my OBD-I series II compared to a 1997+ Series II.
It feels more powerful than newer series II's. Also looks like the car was fitted with the Series II very last minute (The P/S fill point is almost impossible to reach whereas my mother's Series II LeSabre has the P/S relocated)
I was hoping someone could tell me what the internal differences might be? I have heard almost everything in the book. I am planning on taking the motor/transaxle out and rebuilding it for some more n/a power, and want to know if I need different parts than a 97+ internally (or whether I'm better off just getting a 97+ motor?)
Also I was wondering if anyone has the TRUE scoop on whether my 3.8 can be used longitudinally. I have a jeep I'd LOVE to put it in. I've also looked that up but with very mixed answers.
I am no expert on 3.8's in general (although I would like to be), I just love these cars (My last bonnie was a 89 LN3 powered SE... miss it

(gotta love the finish, stupid recall paint)
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Tony
