Can't disengage traction control ???

Post by SSEIYAA95 »

Can't disengage traction control and the 10 minte power off delay stopped working about the same time. Is there a fuse for these somewhere?? Or is it deeper than that?

Your Retained Accessory Power module may have kicked the bucket, but I wasn't aware any part of the traction control went through it. If they are somehow linked, my guess would be a grounding point that has become corroded. I'd look at/clean the ground buss connections below the trim and carpet under each front door. They are in a bundle of tape in the harnesses.

I don't know if it ever moved, but as far as I know, it would be under the glove box. Accessible if you remove the kick panel.

I know, another dumb question but does it say on it what it is? if not does it look like a relay of some kind?A pic of it would be great. You see I have to pull the fuse for the inside lights because they will stay on other wise for the 10 min.So right now I have a toggle swith hooked up so I can turn on and off the lights when I want.It also controls half the sit settings and the side mirrors.I rather have it work the way its suppose to....Thanks

I can tell you what it looks like in a 92 later when I get home and take a look. Your 98 may or may not be the same.

Ok, so I looked and couldn't decide which one it was. Then I looked for my FSM and remembered a friend has it... It's been described here before.
