Autozone Rewards Policy

Post by 94SilverSSEi »

Does anybody know about the Autzone rewards policy?

If you are not familiar with it you get a point every time you spend $20 or more.
You don't not get 5 points if you spend $100 though just on a purchase on $20 or more

what I'm wondering is how long you have to wait between purchases to get another point?

The people at the store have said 1hour, 4hours or 1 day. This was from 3 different people so obviously they do not know.

Does anybody on here know what the policy is on the times between purchases?

So you're basically saying going to AZ and buying $25, then going again in an hour and buying more for $25 till you have what you need? That's a petty way of cheating the system. Just go buy your stuff, get the point, and go on your way. The time it would take to earn your extra points would be much better utilized somewhere else.

Well it's not like I would be sitting outside thestore waiting.
I'm just wondering cuz like yesterday I bought a motor mount did that and realized I needed a tranny filter and I didn't want to go back right away because I wanted to get another point and I didn't know how long I would have to wait.

I actually went in with a friend and bought stuff and then handed him my keys and he gave me a point with his purchase. They were only a few minutes apart.

it seems to take at least a couple of hours.... no one really knows because it's actually run through a private company outside of autozone, they don't tell us anything. i just tell people to wait a little bit just in case, because i don't want them to not get a point.

So you work at autozone?
What would you say as a safe time frame to wait to make sure I get the point?
My dad likes to wait till the next day to be sure?
But wouldn't 3-4 hours be sufficient?

Myself and my Buddy hit AZ for the general items that we need.. We always spend over $20 when we are there and get the point... We look at it as saving 20%... Just one way to look at it..

But for most of our parts we use my buddies BIL who runs a Parts Store... we get the best prices from him and we can return parts if we don't need them and or can get the part replaced if it fails pretty much without question.. Most of the Brake components we use are all Wagner.. On and on.. More than most of the time when we need something, he has it on the shelf...

But from what I have heard you have to wait a while before you can get the next point... I do wish Advance had a Points system...

Its doesn't matter if you go to autozone or advance... There are idiots abroad.... There are a few that really know their crap tho... In the past I have had to tell them to get the Other Guy( yes I know his name )... Then deal with him so I could get the right part... Its all in who you are dealing with... We know both of the guys that run the Local Autozone so its ok for us... Napa locally has their S*** together...

There are some things you can't get from anywhere else... An example would be Gatorback belts, only autozone has them locally.. so you have to go where you have to go to get parts...

Yeah I guess that's true too it's just all depends on who they hire.
The best way to go though is just to know your own stuff so even if they are pinheads at the part store you can still get what you need :P

Ok another question......

When you have money credited to your account if you have say $5 on your account and you spend $50 and u use the $5 that is on the account will get the point or no? The purchase is still above $20 before tax......

The people at autozone didn't even know one guy said yeah and another said no...anybody familiar with this?
