the '96 Chevy Blazer interior cleaning

Post by 99bonnieSE »

So when my sis got the truck, it was bad. bad, bad, bad. I managed to work out most of the grease, grime, potato chips, and french fries from the carpeting. But, yesterday, I took the front seats out, & the center console, and started workin away.
Before pics:

do not ask what is on that console, either. :ack:

& while i had it out, i had a set of 6 1/2's layin around, i tossed them in the doors. (anyone else know why there's diff. color electrical tapes in the doors??)

some good lookin old school JBL's

ranks pretty far up on the nasty level that i've cleaned. but, there's been worse. :ack:
the truck's been in the garage for about two weeks now, i'll have it until dad comes home for the fourth of july. Then he gets his Monte back, and sis gets the blazer back, then i get the S10 in the garage to finish the restoration
After shots will come later on tonight!

Another thing to try is some all purpose cleaner. Like purple power. I dilute it 10-1 and use it to clean my entire interior. It costs a few bucks for a bottle and you can make probably 20 bottles from one. Nice job on the carpet, looks better.

I have that stuff too it works well, but you must dilute if using on interiors or it may cause your color to fade..

I LOVE the Turtle Wax Power out. I once surprised myself at how much grit and sand was caught in my carpet and floormats :eek2:

And I'm due to buy another bottle and go nuts with it...
