The idea behind posting publicly is this:an assembly, meeting place, television program, etc., for the discussion of questions of public interest.
1. Future members can search and FIND answers to their problems.
2. Many members have the opportunity to share their collective experience and advice.
3. Members can watch, read, and learn while the topic progresses.
Asking for advice via PM defeats all these benefits of a Forum and overloads some members of the Staff and Gearheads.
If you have a problem, please post it in the proper section.
If you are approached for help via PM, please simply link the member to this NOTICE.
This isn't a lack of wanting to help, or an insult to anyone. The information needs to be public, or we might as well not even have a Forum.
