Dave, gut it. She'll never notice it, and it'll sound and run better.

Don't you like, HAVE to remove the cover?
I suppose it makes the engine bay look cleaner, but i never was a fan of these 'new fangled' engines anyways. I like to see all the parts.

I've got three 3800's. Both the L67 covers are meshed. Always on the car except at the track to make icing the 'chargers easier. The buick's cover came off the day it came home.

Mines off. It was poorly spray painted by the previous owner and I just never got around to doing anything to make it look better.

Re: Do you leave the engine cover on?
Through all the Bonnes I have had I have always left them on. I think they look cool. I usually put a nice paint job on them though. Plain doesn't do it for me.

Always off. Since I like to detail the engine and engine bay, having it off helps to show off my work. It also makes it easier to get in there and work on it if I need to.

Re: Do you leave the engine cover on?
I don't mind the engine cover on the L67, though I may take it off for the summer. I just hate how all the new cars today are completely covered in plastic when you open the hood. My grandpa has an Infiniti M35 and you can't see anything but a wall of plastic when you open the hood.

Yup, plenty of cars these days are becoming like that. Disgusting.
