Re: Trany swap went wrong, HELP!!
OK...got the schematic.
A - Ppl - TCC brake input
B - dk. blue - TCC PWM solenoid
C - Not used (unless it is for traction control)
D - Tan/black - TCC apply
E - Brown - to 12V fused
F - lt. green - shift a solenoid
G - black - shift b solenoid
IIRC, letter designations changed positions too on a few of them, so do not rely on the designators. Instead, match up the FUNCTIONS (thats the reason why I posted the functions of each position)

Re: Trany swap went wrong, HELP!!
IT WORKED
The engine is running really ruff but the tran is working,
it dont wont to go into 2nd in the small test drive i took Im hoping when i get the engine running right it will fix that.
Could i have wirded it up wrong to cause it not to shift?
even when it was sliping it still shifted good.
TY for your help

Re: Trany swap went wrong, HELP!!
Excellent. Did you, by chance, happen to get the same gear ratio the old transmission was? If the gear ratio is wrong, the PCM will not be happy until it's programmed.

Re: Trany swap went wrong, HELP!!
. . .and if you don't know the final drive ratio of the LeSabre, you can find out if you can check the RPO code sticker on the spare tire cover, if the JY car still has it. Might also be possible to track it down using the Lesabre's VIN. But exactly what sandrock said, you'll need to get the PCM programmed correctly for the final drive ratio if it is different from your Bonneville's.

it shift varry good better then the old trany did.
But when i tryed to drive it up the ramps to fix a started wire it would not make it up.
Other then that its working good. im going to do a trans filter ASAP i hope thats will help with geting it up the ramps.

Re: Trany swap went wrong, HELP!!
Yes it helped alot!! ty,
But it is for a 95 not 93, so i was told, ether way i needed both and it was a big help. ty
I did not look into the ratio yet, How would the car run/shift if it was not the same ratio?
i need to go back to the J/Y to get that code
here is the the pinout i found on your site willwren, If the 93 info was on there i must have over looked it,
TY for everyones help, ill keep ths post updated on any new news about this topic.

Re: Trany swap went wrong, HELP!!
The speed sensor was not pluged back in
This caused the trany to shift into 2nd slow and a big loss in power at take off.
Car is runing better then ever now!! My buddy was used to haveing no power, when he tryed to pull it up the ramps he want up and over lol
After the work was done we 1st thought we just instaled a bad trany. Im glad i posted here b4 we put a fork in it,
ty for all the help

Re: Trany swap went wrong, HELP!!
This is good news. Yeah, that speed sensor does more than just tell you how fast you are going. It also helps the PCM determine shift points, fuel and timing maps, and controls variable-assist steering when equipped.
Good to see it's working for you!

Re: Trany swap went wrong, HELP!!
The car is still runing good most of the time,
But now and then the voltage drops and the car runs like crap, Turn it off then back on it runs fine until the next time.... Its random..
We pulled the codes and, we got...
26,QDM "A" Circuit
56,QDM "B" Circuit
I haven't hooked up the TTC ground on the pin D, would that cause the problem?? [trany shifts good]
Also the oil gauge bugs out when i step on the gas, it jumps to max, some times gets stuck, other times it goes back when i let off the gas.

Re: Trany swap went wrong, HELP!!
You shouldn't had to have cut the TCC wire...that position/function didn't change. Get that wire hooked up or you will never see converter lockup at cruising speeds, and will be wasting fuel.
You oil pressure and voltage issues are seperate things, and should be covered in another thread.
