90 SSE Odd Bucking
Re: 90 SSE Odd Bucking
Well I replaced the coil pack last night an low and behold it wasn't the coils but the ICM. Was hoping to get off cheap but it's all good. I'm going to buy a new one Friday and swap it out. Have to fly to D.C. today overnight so I will hopefully post a happy success when I return.

Re: 90 SSE Odd Bucking
Have you thought about doing the swap to the separate coils? It is pretty cheap and easy to do. Cost me $30 for the three coils and ICM from the jy.
Re: 90 SSE Odd Bucking
All Fixed!!! Replaced the ICM and with the new coil pack, the car started idled and ran perfectly. Perfect acceleration, no noises oh boy oh boy oh boy!!! I didn't realize I could switch but it's all good, if I have to do it again I will do the switch. I think the reason the ICM failed was there was only one nut out of three holding it on and that was loose so prolly an intermittant ground issue. I installed the new one with three like it is supposed to be so hopefully I'm good to go. Now I'll turn my attention to a few other issues like the headlight washer bottle that leaks, power antennae and power mirrors which don't work. Thanks for everything from everyone on this repair, always makes me feel more comfortable being able to bounce stuff off of people that already know =D.
Thanks again.
