stearing sound???? and water soaked carpet on passenger side
If i am sitting still and turn the wheel either all the way left or all the way right just about the time it gets to the full turn, i get this loud moaning sound...like an old man blowing his nose or something. It doesnt happen all the time but most of the time. any answers?? Also I get water on my passenger side from under the floor mat, because if it was coming from the top the mat would be wet, but only the carpet under the mat gets soaked. that side only, sometimes in the back too, also on the passenger side. i read about the sunroof drain tube and saw the pics but not sure what i am looking at in those shots.

I guess I'll be the first to ask the obvious. How full is P/S reservoir?

There's a technical service bulletin for that problem where the solution is to replace the power steering hoses. It doesn't show 2003 as being one of the affected years, however. As was mentioned, fluid level is a great place to start. Then, check the condition of the belt and tensioner. You could also pump out the current fluid and replace with fresh to see if that helps.
If you look down under the dash by the emergency brake on the driver's side, and a similar area on the passenger side, you'll see some of the reference points shown in the pictures for the roof drain. Also check for leaking water deflectors in the doors. This is the procedure from techinfo.

Start with your door seals first before cutting into the rubber to find the sunroof tubes.
The asphalt tape holding on the door water shields is probably shot.
