First and only set of headers available for the LS4 front drive platform (5.3L V8 Grand Prix GXP, Monte
Carlo SS, Imapla SS, '08 Buick Lacrosse Super)! The LS4 community on ls1tech rallied together and with the help of Doug Thorley Headers we were able to get enough interest together to produce these headers. Looking forward to see how they'll change the tone of the exhaust as well as some increase in hp. Just wanted to share!
Joe.

Very nice! That's probably one of the few sets of any FWD V8's, not just LS4's.

Why does there need to be a flex joint on the crossover?
Yeah, seems kind of odd. If anything it would make sense for it to be further back. It's not like the block is flexing between the front and the rear bank
Those look amazing. I wish Doug Thorley made 3800 FWD headers.
What did those set you back?

Thanks fellas! They were $599 on the group purchase, but they'll be ~$960 on their site (ouch).

TOG's for the 3800 were $800 or so. Considering the complex design, I would say $960 is a fair market price. $600 is a great deal for that quality of workmanship.

My biggest concern is the 4-into-1 step down on the front. I know there isn't much room, but I'd think stepping it down to 2-1 and 2-1 where they meet would create a little more even flow and velocity. The 4-into-1 just seems a little sharp, like it will hinder flow a little where it comes out of each primary and has an abrupt 'S' to step down into the crossover.
Aside from that, I have to compliment them on stepping into new territory with those. Should be interesting seeing on of those cars with a Squires Turbo System and those. Of course, like was already mentioned, you better have money in the bank for the tranny shop.

the 4 to 1 isnt any diff than a regular RWD drive header.

Joe I am loving it.... The torque management will hold him back a decent bit... But I would have that Trans built when it does go south to handle the LS4 power... The headers should free it up a good bit...
Why does there need to be a flex joint on the crossover?
It's to allow some play for heat expansion.
