Final Drive Swap via Chain set ok for a 2k SSEi?

Talk about modifications, or anything else associated with performance enhancements. Have a new idea for performance/reliability? Post it here. No idea is stupid! (please use Detailing and Appearance for cosmetic ideas)

Marty, 3k stall is too much, IMO. 2500 would probably be ok, but I'd stay stock.

Sadly guys I'm north of the border, that 3k budget turns to 2400 fast when duty and shipping and exchange come into play :sad5:

Drive down there, have the new built trans installed, put the old trans in the trunk, and drop it off at my house on the way home. Customs will never know what hit them. ;)

I guess i did say i was open to idea's but i'll have to pass :P
I've been looking off and on today as breaks would allow for an LSD solution. No luck yet.
I also have to look what model my trans is, apparently Bonne's are different from GP's?

They both have the 4T65E-HD transmissions, but the cases are different, depending on the year, due to how they are mounted in the car.

EDIT: Only Supercharged models got the -HD transmissions. Naturally Aspirated cars got the 4T65E.
