Backseat facing removable?

Hey guys I was wondering if the 00+ back seat (were your butt sits) fabric/leather can be removed? I need a new backseat and I can get one cheap but it's leather and I have fabric. Can I swap cloth?

Yes, but you'll need a hog-ring pliers and hog rings, and an afternoon.

The driver side won't clip in the framing. I by accident ran over my seat when I had it out and was in rush to move car. Nothing broke off but the metal got bent, I tried bending back but it doesn't want to stay in, it keeps piping out. And now it's starting to dent the framing.

ran over your seat? LOL

When I first got my 00 the seat didn't clip in either, but bending the tab to the correct position fixed it. If yours is that far out of wack, you might want to get another seat... just gonna be some work.

lol yes ran over. I was at a buddy's house and we wanted to ride his quad (atv, whatever you want to call it) but his battery was dead so we figured we would jump it with my car. So I took the back seat out and we jumped it. I had the seat behind my car though. Well I forgot about it, and his mom needed to get out of the driveway and I was blocking her, so I real quick ran to my car, jumped it and went to back it up. Then I ran it over and I instantly knew what I did and I was furious! I only hit it with the back tires, and its only the driver side.

The clip isn't really that bad though to me. The plastic that was covering the metal is off so its just metal now, I don't know if that is what is causing it?

Brining back a old thread because I will be honest I was busy at the time I posted and then I competely forgot.

Here are the pics of the clip that won't work. I can push it in with some force but it'll pop right back out.

Also you will notice the coating on the metal is wearing off it.
