oil filters

I have only used Mobil 1 in my 2000 SSEi. I can't remember what oil filter
I put on the last time I changed it. Can anyone tell me what filter would be a good one to use?
I know this has been covered before but could someone refresh my memory.
I have 85000 miles one the car.

I think it's a PureOne 24011 or if you want the standard Purolator filter it's the L24011.

In all honesty, anything but a Fram.

Look for oil change specials in the $25-30 range. Those usually come with a top-of-the-line filter.

I also prefer the Purolator PL24011 PureOne filter as listed in the techinfo article on changing the oil.

Wix, Mobil1, K&N, Purolator, NAPA, (and some others) all are good filters. No Fram, ever. Basically, you get what you pay for. Don't need to spend $30, but the $2 filters should be avoided.

Delco PF52 is what I use.

I guess I should put a disclaimer:

The 52 is a longer than stock filter. (its used on the s10 blazer/s15 jimmys with the 4.3L, also used on GM fullsize trucks with the V8s), so there MAY be a ground clearance issue as it sticks down a bit further than a stock filter. But I have not run into any problems and you get more filtering area with the 52.
