I think you need to hold a button in for a few seconds until something changes on the display. It may say "CAL" to indicate it is ready for calibration. You may need to drive in circles at 5 mph for a while so find an empty lot. Also, set the zone first. I think there is a zone map somewhere here? Try searching for zone map.

I figured out how to do it but now it just isn't calibrating. I go in maybe four circles and then it dings and goes back to an empty screen with "calibrate" in the top left. Any ideas?

I dont have a solution, but I have experienced the same issue. Not sure what it could be, but my thoughts have been the compass module. Haven't looked much into it though.

Look in your owners manual for the zone, then calibrate as it instructs you in the same section.

If the zone setting and re-calibration doesn't do it, tell us if you have aftermarket speakers on the rear deck, a sub in the trunk, or any large metal objects (toolbox, etc) in your trunk.

The last paragraph is most important. Don't skim over it.

Hopefully not to intrude on the OP, and I can make a new topic if so. But whats the next step if you don't have aftermarket speakers or anything large and metal in the trunk? Is there a way to test the compass module?

You have to relocate it, which may involve extending the harness. Farther to the rear of the car is preferred, especially if the magnets in the aftermarket 6x9's are larger than OEM.

Trying to set the correct zone (no info on earth list Finland ) for my '94, with method "(B) By ponting vechicle North", but I cannot find any "SET" button, just "MODE". Any way to do this on a 1994?

Or anyone have a GM world map of zones with only 9 zones (as in 1994)? All the GM maps I have found shows 15 zones.
