Interchangeable Struts
Hi,
I was wondering if someone could re-affirm me on this. I want to make sure that a pair of front struts from a 94 bonneville se will fit my 97 bonneville ssei with computer ride.
Thanks!

Re: Interchangeable Struts
It will be a different suspension code....will effect ride performance.

Re: Interchangeable Struts
Thanks Michael,
So I would assume by adding the different struts, the ride performance would be effected because the struts would dis-able the command ride?

Re: Interchangeable Struts
Not to mention the code package from the 94 SE will be FE1 more than likely, more geared towards ride than performance, whereas your SSEI is FE2. (Which is performance orientated more-so than the previous)

Re: Interchangeable Struts
AFAIK, the STRUTS are the same, the springs are different.
But struts aren't expensive enough to worry about taking them off an old SE...just get new ones since you're going to have to swap the springs anyways!

Re: Interchangeable Struts
I would think that the struts would be different? I thought they were not available anymore for FE2?

Re: Interchangeable Struts
According to Schuck's auto, they list the same part numbers for each. Fronts listed as Part # 801822 and rear Part # 801798 for the Monroe shocks.

Re: Interchangeable Struts
So I wouldnt be able to use the same springs from the 97SSEI with the struts from the 94 SE? Its just that I have the option to purchase a brand new pair of struts off my buddy who had a 94 SE, and was wondering if it would be advantageous to pick up those for about the 3rd of the price of new struts for my 97.

Re: Interchangeable Struts
Keep your SSEi Springs and swap them over to the new struts... What kind for struts are they?
I recommend Monroe Matic Plus or Monroe sensatrack for replacements..
