Man! Take that $4,000 and run!!! You'd never get that much for that car with a salvage title on the open market.

I'm gonna take your advice on this. I really did think I would be able to get at least 5k out of it, but I guess not.BlackHawk99 wrote:Man! Take that $4,000 and run!!! You'd never get that much for that car with a salvage title on the open market.

Ya, this isn't the first flip that ended up in the family. My dad bought that 97 SSEi 40th from me.Gumball wrote:Did you forget about Project 40thfuelforthesoul1999 wrote:Wow, you're so good at selling that you even can sell a car to your girlfriend...

I have taken her for a few short drives to some local body shops, and I must say that it rides better than my 00. I'm kinda jealous. I haven't been driving my 00 very much, mostly the truck. So when I drove this new 00, it felt like it had just gobs of power... She runs great. No codes, no SSS lights, nothing.

Here are a few pics since the interior has been installed. I still haven’t got to the rear regulators so that’s why the door panels are off.

Very nice and very clean! I love the work you do with flipping these cars. Question about the cleaning, do you just power wash the carpet then sprinkle the detergent on it, then power wash it again?

At least he doesn't have to worry about sunroof leaks. I wouldn't mind not having a sunroof. It wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me.

Re: project: 2000 SSEi (more pics)
My ebay headlight showed up today... it was a little worse than expected, and it looked horrible next to the other one. The good part is that I only paid $10 for it.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... MEWNX%3AIT

With some words of encouragement from crash, and after reading his thread: http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... 3&p=141755
I decided to try to restore the headlight myself. I had some 400, 600, 1000 & 1500 sandpaper laying around, and I picked up some 2000 from my landlord/body shop guy.
Wetsanding with 400.

After 400

After 1000

After 1500

After 2000

Then I used Megs PlastiX and a Mothers Powerball on the lens for about 2-3 minutes.

Results

Had to bend that corner of the hood up to get it to close without wrecking the headlight.

Darn it, now you have me interested in fixing my headlight........................looking good.
I nominate you or crash to do a tech info write up on headlight repair.
Do you have a set of fogs lined up yet? That looks like the only thing needed to be complete again.

Re: project: 2000 SSEi (more pics)
Well I guess we both could. Crash has the professional stuff, and I have the bargain stuff. They both work, but I'm 100% sure his looks better.
I have the original fogs that were in the trunk... except they are tinted black. I'm gonna try to remove what tint I can and then do the same thing as I did to the headlights.
