Just got the modular pulley (3.5) from intense and there are 8 grooves vs the stock
6rib belt on my 01 SSEi (I run Gatorbacks of course). It it OK to use as is ?
No info on their website and I think they are closed for today (4pm Left Coast time. . .).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks !
George

Thats how they are. You can run it. Just place the belt in the 6 grooves that fit the belt path the best. If you don't get it right, the belt will eventually find its place.

Appreciate the fast reply. Afraid I was going to have to put away my hard-won ZZP
puller that I got off of E-bay.
Thanks again.

Re: HELP ! Intense Pulley w/8 ribs
Got hub installed flush with the input shaft. Bolted on pulley. Belt tracks fine on inner 6 grooves. Bolt on pulley however is not itself "flush" with the input shaft. . . . is this OK ?
Also noticed that the stock "retaining" bolt has a sintered iron or bronze filter on the end. Input shaft is hollow and this must act as a breather. Should the original retaining bolt be put back on ?
It's a bit short to reach from the pulley face to the input shaft, only a few threads can enguage.
Sorry to ask these questions, I did do multiple searches first !
Thanks for any input you can offer.

Re: HELP ! Intense Pulley w/8 ribs
The hub should be flush with the shaft, not the pulley. You are fine as long as the pulley is straight on the shaft and the belt grooves line up with the belt path.
The shaft should be plugged, if the original bolt doesnt engage, just use a standard push-in retainer. You just need to keep the SC oil from spilling out the end.

Ok, I just realised what that plastic push-in plug is for. "Duhh"! Came with the kit.
Didn't realize it's purpose until I saw a few pics showing the black plug in the middle
of the pulley, here on the forums.
Appreciate the help !
