Look into doing the 9005 or 9012 HIR low-beam swap along with a single-relay harness hooked up to the low beams only. Those two will give you very bright, glare-free headlights that won't attract the attention an illegal HID retrofit will garner.

For that price ($149 + shipping) you can go on ebay and get HID conversion kits for your low beams, high beams and foglights.
Just make sure to buy from a seller WITHIN the US (verify with seller that the item is shipped from here in the US) before buying.
If you want the most light get either 4300k or 5000k, but if you want a little color 6000k gives a very nice balance of blue and bright.

$110 is outrageous for HID's these days.
Do like I said in the other HID thread and go on ebay, search for a kit from a seller that lists a town in the USA and says you will have them within 5 business days -if their location says anywhere, but allow 10+ business days for them to arrive you are looking at a buyer somewhere across the waters.
Also, make sure they selling COMPLETE kit -a lot of them say 'conversion kit' and picture a complete kit in the title/main picture but are typically selling only a bulb, wiring, or ballast.

Here is what looks to be the lowest price for a complete kit from a seller in the US -IMHO, any HID conversion kit that is not made by Philips or any other quality name brand should be aware the cheaper HID kit bulbs won't last as long -I've been lucky with my Xentec's which I've had for about 10 months now.
Here's the cheap 9006 kit on ebay for $47.xx with free shipping (2nd link is quality Philips HID kit for $100.xx)

Nope -never got a chance to install them in the Y2K, which left the property with a new owner last Wednesday.
I had planned on sending them with the owner, at the very least, but I couldn't find the set which I had last seen about 6 weeks ago. I did just find the set today and tested them in my brothers 97 SSEi and found this set came with bad ballast -not good, but I still have a warranty which is good until 1 yr from when I purchased them.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I don't visit this forum very often.

Pictured is a 9006 kit (low beam) It was very easy to install. I have my ballasts mounted behind my headlights for a clean look, but you can mount them anywhere there is some air flow to keep them cool.

Hope that helps!
