Yes, I was pleased that the car protected her but that's why she drove a Bonneville instead of the jellybeans that they call cars these days.

Before I bought that Bonneville, I drove a Chrysler 300 and didn't like it, it felt really cheap to me.

oohhh!! :ack:

brings back memories... :angry7:

glad to hear that she's OK but still have her go to the Dr to get checked over...

maybe even a few trips to the chiropractor, too...it did wonders for me!!

also glad that the guy in the 300 didn't 'conveniently disappear' on her...kinda hard on a sunny day compared at midnight when i got hit.

hope all works out for her!

She was sad about the chrome wheels, I think they were her favorite thing on the car and it has GXP exhaust tips and shifter handle as well as several other cool extras. The other guys insurance company already contacted me and has accepted Liability, so we shall see. There are pieces on the car I would like to have, but don't want a hulk sitting in my driveway for any length of time. I seriously doubt they will attempt to repair the car, so I expect it to be totaled.

Wow, looks like she got smooshed pretty good. What part of Tacoma did it happen at (I'm from that area)? Gotta love some of the Washington drivers!

S.48th & Park, right by the Tacoma Mall.

Not sure it was a Washington driver, he had a WDL but a home address of Valdosta, GA. He claimed it was not his fault but pretty clear that it was and his insurance company agreed that it was his fault.

Wow, I know how it feels to total a car. I really feel bad for you guys. I'd try and remove all the parts you can, especially stuff like the shifter handle, that can come off in a few minutes. Or, maybe a member around there could buy it and part it out? I'd hate to see a nice car like that go to the likes of a junkyard.

The insurance adjuster was a real piece of work. The lawyers will end up working this out.

The car had 60,000 miles on it and had a pretty pampered life, my daughter took better care of it than I did and I'm pretty anal about it.

I would like to have several parts off the car, Intense CAI, GXP shifter, GXP exhaust tips, etc. However based on the adjuster's attitude about it all, not very likely and they want $1100.00 salvage value for the car.

I was pretty amazed at the damage to the 300, you can hardly see the damage on the rear bumper of the Bonnie and it destroyed the front of the 300.

Brings back memories uhhh.. Glad she is good. Being threw this already take her to the doctor to document EVERYTHING even if she doesn't feel anything right now. You will thank me later in a couple of days and when the insurance company offers you a settlement. Looks like she might be going to the Chiro a bit too within the next couple of months.

Adjusters are going to do there job they are going to be really nice then try to piss you off and then play other games with you. Dont take any of it!!! You are going to have the lawyers work with it? Good Idea I wish I did.

Yes, she has quite a few ongoing appointments now with various health providers, she is 100 pounds soaking wet and the crash jarred her pretty good and her back is bothering her quite a bit. I have left it up to her about how to handle it, she is a pre-law student and had no problem immediately contacting and retaining a lawyer.

I have been down this road myself with insurance companies, so I'm pretty familiar with how they work and I think she is handling it correctly.
