Well yesterday I come home and my neighbor asks what I did to the shadow. I ask "what do you mean?" He says that its got damage and he didn't know if i had done it because he said the lady next door hit it. So I go to her door and I ask nicely if she hit the car and if she has insurance. That backfired, she said "I had no choice but to hit it, its illegally parked, i'm not paying for it, kiss my @$$" and she slammed the door in my face. I call the police and they come out and they said my car is fine where its parked. She wouldnt give me her insurance info and neither did the police...they said it will be in the report. Which i cant get til tomorrow. I did get 2 estimates on the damage already, but it don't seem that it should be that much. One was $1500 and the other was $1300, im worried her insurance is going to total it because of its age, but the people at the body shop said not to let that happen if possible because its in such good condition.
On to the pictures......
The truck she hit it with
Now I don't even know if I can sell it for what I need to.

"no choice but to hit it" what a moron, and the body shop is correct, you do not have to except her insurance company's request to total. she hit it. they can fix it.
Her insurance company can't total it. Michigan is a no fault state. If you do not have full coverage on the car, then you're entitled to a one time pay out of $500 from her insurance company. That's the most compensation you'll be getting from her insurance company. It's worth persuing.

That would work out pretty good if I got the $500 actually. It would be more than enough to fix the damage myself. I would almost rather fix it myself.

Well, you are kinda lucky because only the bumper and fender have actual metal damage. It looks like the hood only has a rub on it, should come right off. White is a semi-common color for the P-body, so finding the parts in matching color isn't that hard if you go that route. Use the $1500 estimate for her insurance, you should be able to find the parts for 250ish and an afternoon in the junkyards.
As far as advice: walk it home on her. That isn't an accident or something she didn't notice. She did that either on purpose or on stupid drunk bitch, and thought she could get away with it.
Perhaps someone can explain how that much damage was done to the truck. Unless it was metal binding up and folding in funky ways.

You need to file charges for hit-and-run immediately. She hit the car, left no information, made no attempt to get hold of you. That's hit and run. Go get her.
BTW, how the hell does "no-fault" work? Cause for *dang* sure, I'm not gonna accept anything less than 100% payment if someone hits my legally-parked car.

The fender on the bed of the truck is not reinforced inside, it's just a big beercan and rusted to boot. She hung the truck up turning the corner and stuffed the nose of his car into the side of the truck from the cab all the way to the rear tire (scuff mark on the side of his car). Then she had to back up to get off his car and try again. So all that damage is just from the bottom if the fender being pushed in and up.
I'd want some payback too. This is all on her. I'm curious as to what the police report says. If her insurance doesn't exist or doesn't pay, it's small claims court.

Well, the situation got slightly better. I will have the police report tomorrow. I had to call her landlord to get her name. I called her insurance company and I explained what happened. They were very helpful and said the were going to contact her to let her know there is a claim. I get a call from the insurance company 20 minutes later. They spoke to her husband (her name is sharon his name is ed) and he told them he hasn't seen Sharon in 5 years and he doesn't own a red F-150. The lady from the insurance informed him that the vehicle is insured in both their names and that the police were involved, and he didn't change his story. The insurance said to fax them the police report and that they would take care of this in 15 days after they get it.

Here is the police report. She did get a ticket for this.
It might be hard to read, but under that drawing, the officer wrote: "Vehicle 1 (truck) was pulling into the driveway of 487 Park and struck vehicle 2 (shadow) that was legally parked on the roadside. Driver of vehicle 1 failed to stop and identify but apparent damage located on vehicle."
I faxed this to her insurance company and I am waiting for their response.

Hey really sorry to see this Haro1225. At first I figured she was driving a previously wrecked Ford until I heard she backed up and repeatedly hit you. Then no apology or confession? What a stupid imbecile. She has what's coming to her. The whole ins deal of totaling a car if the damage cost is more than the resale value really wreaks. If somebody hits me slightly I lose my car that I have $5000 into for a $1500 check.

2001 Bonneville SSEi. 1598xx mi. great car. Wrecked
Burnt Bonny.
Note if you pull the injectors to obserbe fuel delivery...make sure you leave the plugs in and disconnect the ign. Believe me
I heard back from the insurance company. They got the police report and they contacted the people again. They told the insurance company now that she did hit the car but only scratched it, and that I kicked it and did all that damage. They were going to send out an agent but apparently they don't go to my area, they did recommend a body shop that I gotta take it to that the agent will go to and see the car. They also told me they wanted before pictures to prove that there wasn't any damage on the car. If they approve it, then the body shop is going to fix the car. And being that I have another vehicle, they aren't going to give me a loaner. It just so happened the shop they recommended does work for my one neighbor and I have seen their work, it will look great once its done.
