Re: code reader
Do you mean a scanner? I have the Aeroforce Interceptor (http://www.aeroforcetech.com), and love it. I used PDad's write-up (I don't have a link, search it) to install it in the left vent pod. It was well worth the $250 I spent on it. It also reads and clears DTC's.

Re: code reader
Beast, there's a big difference between Code Reader and Scanner, so let's not put words in other's mouths. Scangauge too, is quite different. Let's let the topic author clarify the intent here.

Re: code reader
A simple reader you can get at Harbor Freight for $40.
A scanner that tells you engine data will be a bit more. Lots of variants on the scanner.

Re: code reader
No need to get a code reader, just hit up auto-part stores that lend the tool or read codes for free. If in need to scan get a powrtuner (dhp used $240-275), better bang for the dollar than scangauge II/aeroforce ($160-240) which just displays real-time data.
